The Spider Wall Light is a piece of art that really helped to set Rapid Effects on a trajectory from a hobby to a reputable business that could hold its own. This wall light design came about after being contacted by the first of many interior design firms. This one had the contract for the Sydney and Melbourne 'Hermes' stores shop fit- outs for the summer of 2014. The Spider wall light design was mocked up in my little garage workshop in front of the designer and got immediate approval of the concept. The funny thing was, I only had 11 antlers left in my whole years supply. This design used four, and a chandelier for the other 'Hermes' store window used three. There weren't many options to work with! Those days of potentially running short are far behind now, as I learnt my lesson with a close call.
This piece of lit art has a striking look. As the name suggests, like a spider on the wall. One major feature that I use for all of my wall mounted lighting, is to hide the attachment to the wall. With no visible fixings. No timber plates. Just antlers magically stuck to the wall!
Each wall mounted light is supplied with a mounting template that is specific to that light only. It will show a level line and fixing points, as well as the cable entry/connection point.

The Walking stick, as with all of my wall light fittings, takes its name from an insect. This one is a type of stick insect that resembles the Walking Stick Wall light. A simplistic wall feature that can be made to order with other species of deer antlers. Though the typical design is crafted from Red Deer antlers.

The Aphid, as with all of my wall light options, they are named after an insect. This singular antler can create more of an impact that it may seem. Especially if a matching pair are installed together. Either side of a fireplace, or a window opening have been popular locations for this design. Not to mention above a basin in a powder room.

The Butterfly Fallow wall light is a beautiful wall lighting option. Again, taking its name from an insect, as with all of my wall light series. This one is specifically made with the Fallow deer antler. The only Australian species that has a palm/paddle style antler. This design is often made as a matching pair. Perfectly suited for bedside lighting. Singular installations are also welcome and can make a feature in a nook or along a hallway.

The Daddy Long Legs, named after a type of spider (another insect, like all my wall light series). Similar to the 'Spider' wall light in appearance, though a lot larger. This statement piece of lit wall art is made from Elk (Wapiti) antlers. It can have a span of over two meters wide. That's about seven foot in the old language! A large wall area is recommended for this design to sing.
